Red Castle

About the Location: The Red Castle is a towering fortress perched on a small island off the coast of Gooley Island, overlooking the Bay of Knives. Built as a strategic stronghold to defend the island and control maritime access, its imposing red-stone walls and elevated position make it a near-impenetrable bastion. Manned by the red army, the castle serves as a key military base, housing a large garrison and coordinating operations across the region. Though its defenses are formidable, the Red Castle hides more than it reveals—ancient tunnels, forgotten chambers, and relics of old wars lie beneath its foundations, drawing in adventurers eager to unearth its long-buried secrets.

Terrain Outline: This battle map uses two levels—the flat area is the upper level, while the lower level lies outside the scope of the map. The green teleportation circle is the player entry point, and the purple teleportation circle leads to the arena. The bushes are obstacle tiles, the mountainous tiles are climbing terrain, and the snaking path is composed of ladder tiles. The two red-roofed structures are enclosure tiles, and the brown borders are wall tiles. The broader walls are special terrain tiles: they function as walls but grant creatures standing on them line of sight to the entire map and +3 dodge, +1 RG with all abilities. The staircases are also ladder tiles and can be used to access the broader wall tiles.

Quest Briefing: Orc raiding parties have been striking the outskirts of Red Castle with growing frequency, testing the fortress's defenses for weaknesses. With multiple waves expected, the Red Army is offering rewards to those willing to hold the line against even a single assault. Take your post along the outer walls, repel one wave of attackers, and return to the quartermaster alive to gain a reward.
