About the Location: Lake Maya rests at the heart of Gooley Island, nestled beside the elven city of Mayan. This serene expanse of water is surrounded by ancient forest and remains a haven—rich in wildlife, teeming with fish, and revered as a spiritual site by the island’s native peoples. Rituals are still held along its misty banks, where the veil between worlds feels thin. For those who find their way to its tranquil shores, Lake Maya offers peace, sacred beauty, and a chance to witness Gooley’s natural soul undisturbed.

Terrain Outline: This battle map uses a single level. The light blue teleportation circle is the player entry point, and the dark blue teleportation circle leads to the arena. The shrubs are obstacle tiles, the blue areas are water tiles, and the grey tiles are wall tiles. The grey wall tiles are special terrain tiles: creatures on these tiles gain +3 dodge, +1 RG with all abilities, and gain line of sight to the entire map.

Quest Briefing: Rumors ripple through Mayan: something stirs beneath the glassy surface of Lake Maya. Fishermen speak of vanishing nets and guttural roars echoing through the morning fog.
